A two-day moderated event held in Berlin for all Architects and UX Professionals of DT IT. The gathering provided an opportunity to exchange insights and hear from external keynote speakers. One of the most captivating keynotes for me was by Thorsten Jonas on SUX (Sustainable UX). An approach to design digital products that prioritise not just user-centered design, but also environmental and humanity-centered design. While traditional UX focuses on aligning user needs with business goals, SUX emphasises the broader systemic context of a product, considering its impact on both human and non-human actors. The goal is to shift from designing solely for users to understanding the wider implications of our work and to make sustainability a default consideration in the digital design process.
