Project
I am part of the Architect & UX Chapter within our company and currently assigned to one of the Magenta Business HUBs. This value stream delivers a digitalization program for Deutsche Telekom's business customers, offering a unified B2B solution. Our offer tool follows the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) model. Unlike traditional product configurators, it provides a comprehensive view of the digital sales process, encompassing not only configuration, but also price calculation and offer creation. Users can import quotes from external sources, integrate additional offers, and perform individual price calculations for all components, while considering specified price limits, such as surcharges and discounts.
Team, Methodology, Scope
We are an international development team of 14 members, including a Product Owner, Scrum Master, 2 Business Analysts, 7 developers, 1 Architect, and myself as Product Designer. We are distributed across Germany, Spain, Greece, and Hungary.

Working agilely using Scrum, we focus on developing interfaces for business customers. Our design tasks are planned in two-week sprints, with a Program Increment consisting of four sprints. Our primary product, the B2B Offer Cart, is built with Java Spring microservices on the backend, several frontend services using Vue v3, and is hosted on the AWS cloud platform.

We create an integrated offer solution that simplifies the quote creation process. The offer documents can be generated directly, resulting in greater efficiency and customer satisfaction: Users save time and reduce errors by integrating offers with individual price calculations, leading to faster quote processing and professional documentation.
My role
As the sole Product Designer on our team, I was entrusted with overseeing the entire design process - from discovery, through ideation, to the final prototype of our newly developed solutions. I’m a firm believer in the company’s slogan, "We turn customers into fans," and I embody this by actively involving users in the design process to ensure a human-centered approach throughout the product lifecycle. Every design I create starts with a problem that needs solving, and where there's a problem, there are always users.
I am fluent in English and German, enabling me to prepare my designs in either language based on business needs and requirements, and to effectively communicate with customers in both languages.
Toolkit
I work with modern UX tools in an agile DesignOps environment, utilizing Design Systems to create consistent, state-of-the-art applications that are both functional and based on user needs. I create wireframes and prototypes in Figma, and for presentations to business customers, I use Miro to present design screens and involve them directly in user journey creation. My design tasks are planned in Jira. For creatives such as videos, photos, presentations etc., I rely on Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps like Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, InDesign and Illustrator. All our project-related design concepts and guides are documented in Wiki. Additionally, I use Microsoft 365 products, and of course I work on an Apple MacBook Pro.
